Dr. Donald Burden currently serves as Senior Pastor of the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Columbus, Ohio.  He has pastored for more than 25 years and his ministry has taken all across the United States and several other countries. 

Dr. Burden holds a B.A. in Theology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and a Doctor of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

Before accepting the call to Ephesus, Dr. Burden previously served as Youth Director for the Allegheny West Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for 8 years, helping to impact the lives of young people in a positive way.  He also served for 4 years as Ministerial Director for the Allegheny West Conference.

He is married to the former Mary Torres, and together they have three sons and one daughter. 

Pastor Burden loves God’s people, and strives to empower them to live lives of obedience to God.   His favorite bible text is Proverbs 3 verses 5 and 6: Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thy own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct they path.

 
His motto is Jehovah Jireh - The Lord will provide or The Lord will see to it.

 

He is an ordinary person with a little extra-ordinary amount of determination.
